Speaker:And now, this week's episode.
Speaker:While most podcast recordings are indoors,
Speaker:there will be times when you might need to record outside.
Speaker:With all the unknowns that can come with that, how can you ensure you still get great audio?
Speaker:Here are three quick tips.
Speaker:Use the right mics.
Speaker:This is where dynamic mics are great, as they offer more protection from background noise.
Speaker:Lavalier clip-on mics are also good.
Speaker:Just make sure whatever mics you use, they're close to the speaker's mouth.
Speaker:The closer they are, the less background noise can appear.
Speaker:Respect the environment.
Speaker:If it's windy, turn the mics away from the sound and focus on picking up as much of the speaker as possible.
Speaker:Use a windscreen too, to help block out any wind or any other ambient noises.
Speaker:And finally, post-production is your friend.
Speaker:Even if you limit as much noise as possible when recording,
Speaker:take the time to edit the audio properly afterward,
Speaker:with noise remover tools as a starting point.
Speaker:By taking the time to plan for your outdoor recordings, you'll still get great results.
Speaker:Until the next time, happy podcasting!
Speaker:Thanks for listening.
