Speaker:I'm Danny Brown,
Speaker:and you're listening to One Minute Podcast Tips,
Speaker:the show that helps you be a better podcaster
Speaker:in just a minute a week.

Speaker:And now, this week's episode.
Speaker:When it comes to your podcast website,
Speaker:it's really up to you what you put on it.
Speaker:After all, it's your site, your show,
Speaker:and your decision what you want visitors to the site to do.
Speaker:But whatever you do place on your website,
Speaker:there are three things that I recommend
Speaker:always having on there.
Speaker:The first one is a web player
Speaker:that makes it easy to listen to an episode
Speaker:anywhere on a website.
Speaker:So if you're on the website's homepage,
Speaker:you have a podcast player there.
Speaker:Obviously, if you're on individual post pages,
Speaker:you'd have a podcast player there as well.
Speaker:The main thing is, no matter where visitors are
Speaker:on a website, you're making it easy for them
Speaker:to listen to your episode,
Speaker:whether that's a trailer to promote it,
Speaker:your latest episode, or a featured episode.
Speaker:The second thing is making it really easy to follow your show.
Speaker:After all, if you want your podcast to grow, you've got to make it easy for listeners to do that.
Speaker:So whether that's a sidebar or a call to action box on your homepage,
Speaker:have your most relevant follow options there.
Speaker:So Apple Podcasts, Spotify, maybe Pocket Casts, Goodpods, etc.
Speaker:And then your RSS feed.
Speaker:That way listeners can either choose the apps you offer,
Speaker:or copy your RSS feed and add to their own preferred app.
Speaker:And the third one is a simple call to action.
Speaker:Now this can be either growing your newsletter list,
Speaker:it can be a leave a review,
Speaker:or it can be social proof.
Speaker:So for example, on the One Minute Podcast Tips site,
Speaker:I have some Goodpods badges that shows
Speaker:One Minute Podcast Tip is the number one podcast
Speaker:in the tech charts.
Speaker:It's just a nice little way to show listeners
Speaker:that your podcast is worth listening to.
Speaker:So as mentioned, it's really up to you what you put on there,
Speaker:but these are the three that I'd always recommend.
Speaker:Until the next time, happy podcasting.
Speaker:(audience applauding)
Speaker:Thanks for listening.
Speaker:If you enjoy One Minute Podcast Tips,
Speaker:be sure to share with your friends and other podcasters
Speaker:so they can enjoy it too.
Speaker:Until the next time, happy podcasting.
