Speaker:When it comes to what format your podcast should be in,
Speaker:there are three main choices.
Speaker:Episodic, Episodic with Seasons, and Serial.
Speaker:The first two are pretty straightforward and just mean that listeners can jump in at any time
Speaker:regardless of what episode they actually start listening to your podcast.
Speaker:They won't be confused because each episode stands on its own.
Speaker:Episodic with Seasons just means that you're taking a break between seasons
Speaker:so maybe a summer break, seasonal break, but listeners can still jump in at any time
Speaker:no matter what season or episode.
Speaker:With Serial, that's more geared towards storytelling podcasts
Speaker:and requires the listener to start at the very beginning with episode one.
Speaker:When you create your podcast with your podcast host,
Speaker:you would choose what format you wish.
Speaker:Episodic, episodic with seasons, or serial.
Speaker:And then it would generally display episodes newest first for episodic
Speaker:and oldest first for serial.
Speaker:Until the next time, happy podcasting.
