Speaker:And now, this week's episode.
Speaker:At some stage in your podcasting journey,
Speaker:you're gonna be asking yourself,
Speaker:Is it time to upgrade my equipment?
Speaker:Now this could be microphones, it could be the mixers that you use, it could be the hardware
Speaker:or the software you're recording or editing into, but there will come a time when you'll
Speaker:think do I need to upgrade? And I hate saying this, but it depends.
Speaker:You might already have a great sound, even with the setup you're using at the moment.
Speaker:I've said it before and I'll always say this, you don't need super expensive equipment to
Speaker:get a great sound for your podcast.
Speaker:The more important thing is making sure your recording environment is really good, so nice
Speaker:soft surroundings, cushions, chairs, whatever you can put in there that takes away the echo
Speaker:from hard walls, bare floors etc. If you do want to upgrade your equipment, start small and get
Speaker:feedback from other podcasters and listeners to see what part of the podcast they enjoy.
Speaker:Then if you want to upgrade your equipment you'll know which one to focus on. Maybe you do want to
Speaker:upgrade to an XLR mic and use an audio interface for example, or maybe you want to upgrade your
Speaker:interface and improve that side of things. But really you don't need to worry about upgrading
Speaker:your equipment right away if your podcast sounds good and you're happy with the end result.
Speaker:Until the next time, happy podcasting.
Speaker:Thanks for listening. If you enjoy One Minute Podcast Tips,
Speaker:be sure to share with your friends and other podcasters so they can enjoy it too.
