Danny:or free wherever you get podcasts. And now, this week's episode.
Danny:One of the first things that any potential listener will ever see about your show is your artwork, so it's important to make sure you get this right. After all, it needs to catch their attention when they're scrolling on their favourite podcast app, so you want to make sure it's as strong as possible.
Danny:So that means striking images, bold letters, not too many words, you don't want to clutter it, and no small font because that's really hard to see on mobile phones where most people listen to podcasts.
Danny:When it comes to your artwork, it needs to meet certain requirements. It's got to be a square image, a minimum 1400 pixels by 1400 pixels, and a maximum 3000 pixels by 3000 pixels, and it's got to be less than 512 kilobytes in size.
Danny:It's also got to be a JPEG or PNG file.
Danny:You can make your own artwork using your own photo editor or something like Canva that offers more than a thousand templates to choose from, or you can hire a designer to create it.
Danny:To make sure it's going to look good on all apps, upload it to the OnlyPod Cover Art Checker. This shows you how it compares on both desktop and mobile for all the main podcast apps.
Danny:And I'll be sure to leave all these links in the show notes, so make sure you check them out after the episode.
Danny:And that's it. Time to get creating. Thanks for listening. If you're enjoying One Minute Podcast Tips, be sure to leave a 5-star rating or review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify and help others find the show too.
Danny:Until next time, happy podcasting.
